Very pretty. No mercy in taking advantage of white giving up the initiative! Maybe white could try to crawl back into the game with 10. Na3 and 11. Nc2 to try to dislodge your knight.

Why would castling be flashy? I think that you not castling is flashier. Taking the King to safety seems more sensible and prudent. If you want my advice, I would say that you should never be afraid of a flashy move.

Thanks. I think since it was pretty much a forced mate, I thought it might be showing up my opponent or something. If it hadn't been forced, I'm sure I would have castled, though. :)
