Rook Sacrifice

I've read about the rook sacrifice, and actually managed to use it for a victory in this game.  I'm particularly not very good and looking too many moves ahead, but man, I feel like I nailed this one.  I let my rook go, then I let a knight go, because often times I find my own pieces get in the way of my own progress.  By letting my pieces go, I got my opponents pieces to move out of my way also.  I feel like this was a rare, clean game, where I didn't make any mistakes, and the only pieces that were taken were ones I let go to serve my own purposes...

Maybe it would have been phrase better had I said, "I didn't make any serious blunders"

It seems to me that you had a strategy, but hit a few hurdles you may not have seen...

However, you did capitalize on your opponent's mistakes, and that's just as good a chess tactic as having the "perfect plan".
