Sorry to disappoint you, but.. whats an elo?
1400 elo to 500 elo, this game really sucks
That's not going to help your cause at all. Closing your account is counter productive. Because if you close it because you lost rating this vicious cycle will continue. You must play continuously and see where it takes you. Over time it will jump.
About 8 years ago I was 1460 in Bullet in Lichess. And in the other variants I was 1700.
Highest rating: 2462 11 Sept 2023, 04:21 Lowest rating: 1460 24 Oct 2017, 04:52
I never closed my account! And today I am 2300+ on Lichess and 2200 here on Chess.com.
Eventually I managed to get this up. You need to watch more youtube videos and memorize the traps, blunder less and your rating will go up. 1400 is nothing and you should be able to recover within a few hours of winnings.
I suggest you follow Chess Talk and GJ_Chess videos. There will be a massive jump in your rating if you properly follow these. Remember never bring out your Queen early, concentrate on your openings.
I sometimes drop to just over 2000 and I also feel frustrated and this happened on a few occasions for me in Rapid. But I don't give up. Form is temporary class is permanent. I have fought back and recovered back to 2200 as that is my true rating at least here.
Eventually you'll reach to a rating that you will roam around and never drop. It is impossible for me to drop below 2000 because I am at a level where however, bad of a day I may have the improvement is there for me to not drop below it.
Only my Chess 960 rating is bad. But a few days ago I managed to beat a GM from Romania who also had only 1500 in Chess 960. I guess due to scattered custom positions my performance there isn't quite up to scratch and it is like that for most players.
But if you continue to play mechanically and worse of all close your account, you will never improve. This vicious cycle will continue forever. Improvement starts with study, watching youtube and watching other professional players play.
how does closing accounts and creating new ones solve anything? Rating converges to true rating pretty fast.
It sounds like you're not enjoying it. I'd recommend taking a break for at least a month, focus on other hobbies, and only come back to chess when you're going to enjoy it, otherwise it's just pointless.
Don't worry. Eventually you will open the right account that will make you GM.
Maybe this is where I've been going wrong! I see a lot of Grandmasters have GM in their username, so I should make a new account called GM_Noemi and turn professional!
I used to be 1400 until now. My 1400 account has been closed by me because of a major loss of elo. Now I'm stuck in the 500's. I don't get it I used to be alright at this game and now I'm just an embarrassment. I've been having a 'chess crisis' were I keep creating new accounts and closing them every time i have a really bad loss. I need help, I don't want someone to tell me to do puzzles, read books, watch videos or memorize tactics, have been doing that for 2 years. I am really angry at chess right now and I want someone to tell how I went from 1400 to 500 elo in a month and how I can get back.
