Aborting games

I am getting fed up with people aborting games. People who abort games, even if they are unrated games should lose points, or be banned for 1 hour or even a day. For every game I play I am getting one abort, it's becoming a joke.

Why do people create a game and then abort it, are they morons, better still when is chess.com going to get their finger out their arze and do something about it, reporting it is a waste of time, they do nothing.

Players that abort too often, as a percentage of recently completed games already get restricted. When that happens, any games that start as rated will be rated, regardless of the termination.

So if i get 5 people abort my games in a row and it's their first time, I have to just suffer that, with no consequences to them?

https://www.chess.com/game/live/124069188053 <--- is this you aborting a game when your queen got trapped?

https://www.chess.com/game/live/123381604605 <-- is this you aborting a game when you lost a rook?

https://www.chess.com/game/live/122588128823 <-- is this you stalling for 4 min when you lost your queen?

I agree that people who abandon many games should feel some consequences, but it's ridiculous to say that 1 abandonment should result in a ban. Saying it when you seemingly do it yourself, is downright funny.

No internet connection is perfect, and even the best of us can lose our temper.

Sometime people have something come up and need to abort. Or they accidentally click the new game button and can't play. There is a basic allowance that sometime people will need to abort a game and as long as it's not done to often then there is no consequence.

Maybe those 5 people just didn't like you; maybe thet remembered your username from a Forum thread post somewhere.

You can't read can you, the title says abort, you obviously don't know what that means.

That would be "you're", bonehead.

account99999

Are you really waiting that long for the next game? For me wait time rarely exceeds like 3 seconds to be matched with someone else.

JBarryChess

It bugs me when someone just quits or lets the time run out. I've had people abandon games with over 2 minutes left on their clock.

If the connection on their end is poor though I don't report them.
