Why don't you link us to the banned account?
Banned for no reason
Hi.
What do I do when my account got banned for absolutely no reason?
Accounts do not get banned for no reason and it was for a TOS violation of some sort. If you check the profile, it will give the basic reason that links to the appropriate help article about things that can cause that type of closure.
Somebody reported you for something or other or Chess Dot Com's filters were triggered somehow. There is somewhat of a everybody is a cheater mindset on here so be careful.
Strange that one would interpret a fairplay closure without being sure. Just looking at the account would show if that was the case, which is probably why you were reluctant to disclose it.
Why would cheating in blitz not be "entirely" possible?
The whole thing didn't sound entirely honest to me. But good luck anyway
Without being sure? I do of course know that I haven't breached the fair play rules. I have no problem with disclosing anything? Re. cheating in Blitz - how would it be beneficial to cheat in a game with 3/5 min on the clock when you play against opponents that are at a relatively high level? It would really like to see the basis/evidence as to why they closed it though, cause that should be normal procedure if they go as far as closing an account right?
Wrong unfortunately.

So what was the account?
As far as I know, they send a follow up mail along with the closure of the account, unless I am mistaken. And I could be mistaken because this is just what I heard some time ago. If you didn't, check your mail.
But if not:

You should ask them yourself. It will take some time for them to answer, but they will get back to you after 10 days or so.
In any case, mods will probably close the topic, as talking about cheating publicly is against the rules.
Anyone's account is not cancelled out for No Reason especially on Chess Com Just learn your lesson and move on just start a fresh with another site this time with renewed integrity
Absolutely not. That's not how it works in life mate. I know I have breached any FP-rules (especially not cheating etc.) and will therefore not just accept it without any explanation. If I had done anything in regards to breaching the FP-rules, I wouldn't come here chatting about it.
Yes. Yes, it is how life works. Life isn't fair. Just learn to deal with it.

Hi and thanks for your answer. I am not totally sure as to why it got closed, but if I interpreted it right in the e-mail I got, it seems it is because of violation of fair play - cheating. I am absolutely baffled if that's the case, because I have never cheated in this platform. I only play Blitz (5min) as well, so cheating wouldn't be entirely possible either. What should I do then?
It is very possible to cheat in 5 minutes chess, even in 3 minute and even 1 minute chess
What is the point of discussing all this on the forums? The guy got an email with an explanation of what happened and how to appeal.
My point is I woke up too %@## early, couldn't get back to sleep, and haven't had coffee. I decided to just get strange on c.c for a while.
My dad ZUBYSWORLD got banned for no reason when he has only played games against me without doing anything wrong

He's lost every game against you and in many of those with the games being in an equal position early on in the opening. Chess.com views that as rating manipulation ie. sandbagging, which is probably why his account was closed for a Fair Play violation. If you and/or he contact Chess.com and explain why he was doing that and they explain to you how that it's against the rules here and you both agree not to do it any more, he'd be allowed back on. Chess.com normally lets an account banned for a fair play violation open a new account, but in this sort of case they might re-open the closed account, since it's not cheating with a chess engine.
My account got banned permanently because my friends took my computer and wrote this to a guy whose username was 1mprovingmychess
"Wow you were right you really need to improve your chess"
The next time a log on my account got closed permanently
I had over 7000 games on that account, and 27,000 puzzles and to get banned forever because of that is just stupid
Because of this, I decided to switch to lichess unless chess.com unless chess.com does something about this.
Even if I get banned from this it should not be permanent because it is a bad thing to say however a day or something like that should happen and no one should be permanently banned from that.

It's unlikely the account was closed for that specific reason. There's would need to be a history of behavior or some other TOS violations
