Joey Votto bot plays better than their rating suggests

A great example of this is the new bot “Joey votto” it’s listed rating is 1570 or something like that and it consistently played like an 1850-1900 rated bot. Why? I don’t understand why it’s listed as a 1570 but plays on a higher level every time. Idk if it’s because I play on mobile or what but it needs to be fixed. If I play against normal 1500-1600 bots they play like their rating suggests. It’s unfair to players that think they’re playing against a bot that’s similar to their rating then plays at a higher level. I personally wasn’t expecting that bot to play like it did so I took it easy the first few games and quickly found out the rating was wrong. I play against bots that are much higher rated often (like 2000-2300). Normally I can mess around and just have fun with most bots 1500-1600 and below and do just fine but this bot posed a bit of a challenge. I mainly play against bots so I can tell when they’re playing at a higher level. Not only that but when I reviewed the game I won it confirmed my suspicions by saying that bot was playing like an 1850 rated player/bot. I get wanting to make the bot representing a person to not look bad but that’s a bit much. Anyone else experience this or is it just me?

I thought the same. It feels more difficult than most 1500 or 1600 bots. Antonio(1500) is another example of a "difficult compared to other bots at same rating" bot.

I managed to win Joey. I feel like he gets a momentary boost after first capture. So I tried to delay the first capture a bit.

I just played a match against him. My rating was 1600 for the match and he played at a 2000 level for the match. Are you playing on cell phone or computer? I was able to easily beat him on my pc, but haven't come close on my phone yet.

Yes this bot seems harder than his rating. I can never get a win against him, but have beaten a lot of the other bots around the same rating

Dude thats just E.L.O in general im pretty sure bro. Most bots dont "play there exact ratings because there supposed to mimic people and play fair, and it does. Hes playing an adaptive rating of 1500. The rating doesnt even mean everything. It does with ranges and whatnot but your rating ist everything.
