1 Canadian dollar = 0.993838 U.S. dollars

I think ivandh just said Canadians can't play chess under USCF playing conditions

Here's how the USCF sets the initial USCF rating for someone who has a CFC rating but no USCF rating.

If the player has a CFC rating over 1500, then USCF = 1.1 x CFC - 240

If the player has a CFC rating of 1500 or less, then USCF = CFC -90

Interesting this makes my uscf like 1702 as my cfc is currently 1766!  My ratings are all over the place on here I'm like 1843 currently!  I suspect though that I'm taking longer on my moves than my opponents and getting some good wins that way!  I don't think fast enough over the board yet!

Wait, isn't e^ipi = -1? But there is no USCF 0 score, only 100.

Martin_Stahl

The current rulebook has no conversion for CFC ratings; you just use that if there is a Canadian player that is otherwise unrated under the US Chess rating system. The exception is Quebec/FQE where you add 100.

e^ipi is just a bogus equation that makes you look smart, when in actuality it is only equal to -1

Guys, you all realize ivandh is joking, right?

The equation works out to zero (e^πi + 1).

He was just saying "Canadians can't play chess".

I can testify to that. I'm Canadian, and I can't play chess.

Hey guys. Does anyone have an idea of what rapid rating chess.com is converted to CFC?

Still depends on the tournaments you play. If you play well in tournaments with a strong rating, you get a higher rating. It can be inflated or deflated
