How are the chess bots in chess.com designed/built?

I would love to build one for myself, using my own game database. Is it possible, has someone actually tried something like this? If yes, please do assist me, am also open for collaboration to work on these lines.

The bots are Komodo personalities, with various settings, wrapped with chat code and opening books.

You can't do that here. You could grab a copy of Komodo or Dragon and play with the options, personalities, and create different opening books for the bot to use

have you done that?

I've never really messed with those options on the engine as I primarily use them for post game analysis and not playing against.

you can try the same idea with Rodent Engine, they give you option to create your own personality and you can customize book opening too. it's UCI compatible, you can run it on arena gui
