Chess.com app vs the website

I got the app recently but see no advantage to it.  The website is easier to navigate even on a phone.  What an I missing?

I live by the app. What advantages are offered in the website

It's probably just what you are used to, but I normally visit chess.com on a Windows laptop.  When I switch to my phone the webaite is identical to being on the laptop.  The app is a complete different interface.  I'm sure everything you need is there, but nothing more.  Apps take memory and battery on a phone.  I'm just wondering if I should delete it because I don't see any advantage to it.

You don't get anything except for a go mobile achievement, then you can delete it.

With the app I can watch a high-rated game and not deal with the chatbox... that is more than enough for me.

App is better for watching  games and playing on mobile. Website is better for computer.

I usually only play on the app. it regularly informs me when it is my turn on daily chess, so I can play anywhere and at any time. the app is more direct and quick to navigate if you are looking for basics, such as your current games and turn, tactics, daily puzzle, etc.. I used to also play my 30 min games on it as well, though I usually prefer the laptop to limit distractions and personal preference. However I believe the data usage is nominal, especially compared to modern mobile games. I really don't see a harm in keeping the app. I'm sure more users use the app than the desktop site, however that is just a guess based off of modern trends.

The app is missing many features available on the website. For instance, I cannot quote any of the posts above while creating this one because I’m in the backyard using my iPad.

Although the features are limited, the app works well for playing and things like tactics trainer.

The app fits in my pocket.

On the website, the forums have a menu that allows you to finds specific threads you are engaging more readily.

Also, threads are sequenced by most recent with activity. I have no idea how the app sequences things.

there is a variety of features not available on the app, beIN a paying customer I feel when using the app iam at a disservice!!

Games embedded in posts never work properly on the app.

As a person who plays a decent amount of bullet the fact that you can’t (to my knowledge) premove more than once which can be a pretty big issue if you’re being flagged are just low on time in general, so that’s a strong reason to just use the website instead.

I also don't think you can configure the app to match with people from a certain rating range (i.e -50 +inf, which is my setting on the website). Just played a 3min game on the app on my phone, I was matched with a sub-2100 player and only gained 6 rating points from winning.

The only reason why I use the app is because I can listen to music and play chess at the same time. When I use the website on my phone it doesn't let me do that (the music stops playing and only plays the sounds on the website)

Otherwise I see no advantage to the app.

The app, so configured.

Ok then i think if you don't care much much about memory and all that stuff then go for app its a wayyy better option on mobile in my opinion ............ But app is a bit laggy and buggy so you need to co-operate for a better experience on mobile , but if you are looking for windows the website
