Yep. We are not alone. My intuition tells me there's going to be some major scandal involving top players and their struggles to retain their elo rating despite the trend of of top level rating deflation. FIDE and chess dot com are "passively"(it's an "algorithm failure") suppressing strong players, buffering them from entering higher ranks by pairing them against other players who are either engine moving or are in the same elo suppression situation, and are much stronger players than their elo would normally play at. Letting the weaker players rise in ratings means easier and higher value cannon fodder for the top players to regularly beat on chess.com, retaining their peak elo ratings against the very deflation that these over-ranked players are enabling "unknowingly". 
My crack[pot conspiracy is that [***farfetched and I doubt the extent of any wrongdoing***] but what if?]*** many of the official tournament ranked matches are meticulously pre-planned; what they call "prep", could very easily be a way of contingency mapping the board to make for a great match ending in a convincing dive.
Meh. Lichess still seems to have some engine movers, but nowhere near as one sided as this. It's not even being mad at losing over and over; the games are boring, identical, without any flair, without any value to someone trying to learn how to play at a higher level than where they're at.

Chess.com doesn't even use the elo system, they use the Glicko system. It is different than elo. Elo uses rating (and win probability) to determine rating change, while Glicko uses how reliable you are to win at your rating, based on your activity (how many games you play at your level). As you play more games, your rating will not be able to grow as much as it would be if you came back from not playing for five months.
