Why is it when you play a daily game and let’s say it’s a 3 day game and you only have 24 hours left and then you make your move. Why does the time reset back to three days it doesn’t seem right to me. Does anyone else think this is strange?
Because then your opponent is on move, not you. It's not like you're given X amount of time for the whole game. You get X amount of time for each move.

Daily is the time control per move. So a 3 day time control is you have 3 days max for each move
