Something that you guys should probably know about elo ratings - they are very different to chess com ones and once you look beneath the top 100 players the ratings start to reduce very fast, having been though years of severe deflation so there are not really many points coming up towards the top for the records to be broken any time soon.
The only possible way to do it right now would be for a 2800 rated to consistently farm points from other top grand masters for a long period, closer they got to 3000 the bigger the rating lost from even a draw, and even Magnus at his peak powers could not win every single game he played for hundreds in a row
Fischer was the best until Kasparov came around, and he dominated until Carlsen inevitably surpassed him. Its inevitable that some new pródigy (or maybe one thats currently in top 100 or somethin) will be strong enough to dethrone Magnus, and be stronger than he ever was (compared to other players fyi). Magnus' peak was 2882 reached 2x, and may not ever surpass 2875, maybe not even 2850 ever again, but some younger person may dedícate life to the sport and reach 2900, maybe even the coveted 3000. But we have to let the pot simmer for a while for it to happen, and still, Magnus is getting "old" (for chess anyway) and his reign may sadly come to an end within the next 10, heck maybe in the next 5 years or so
