Can someone tell me why in the men's candidates tournament the players have 2 hours on the clock and in the women's tournament they only have 1 and a half hours on the clock, what happened to that half hour difference?

I think women r underrated I'd like them to give women as much of chances

it's the open candidates and women candidates, meaning anyone can join the open one, so i think women have plenty of chances

There is a growing awareness of the importance of gender equality in chess, including equal opportunities and treatment for male and female players.

It looks like they are admitting women don't have the same stamina in chess as men. What other reasoning would they have? Its similar to women in the WNBA having a smaller ball to use and other modifications.

There’s no proven intellectual inferiority that women have against men, so assuming both sexes are equal intellectually then it’s probably because Women already have an advantage with separate women tournaments and they might as well make the time less so the advantage isn’t too much🤷🏽‍♂️
