White is easier to play, but pretty well all of my best games are with the Black pieces.

With White I typically win, but in pedestrian fashion. With Black, I win heroically.

But generally speaking, it depends, statistically many people prefer starting the game since it's easier to set your plans in motion that way and others just love sitting and waiting to see what gets thrown at them, for me I like seeing what people will throw at me because it helps me develop my defensive skills since not always will you be in the winning position you want to be and will have to defend more times even as white and that's why I love playing with the Black pieces, I get to know someone's mind that way. Even otb whenever I play someone for the first time I let them be white to read their gameplay

I play better with black pieces. You can see it in my last 7 days winrate. My last 7 days winrate with black pieces is much higher

I like playing white because I really don't want to deal with aggressive white gambits.

White at the moment because I'm enjoying playing the English. At some point I'm going to learn some proper theory on the sicilian though. Then I might prefer black.
