I just met a guy 5/5 blitz who only got plus seconds the whole game. It ended with him having 8 min left on his timer. Will add he was losing and had no queen. But its easy to win with infinitive time. Wtfk is it a joke

If someone uses less than 5 seconds on most moves in a 5 second increment game, their time will increase. Works the same way over the board.

I dont know what you experimented, but I have a lot of anomalies looking at the timer. The most common is simple: I start with less seconds that my opponent in many games from the beginning.I'm losing in ridiculously way many games because I can't do a calculation of time and how many seconds run in some movements.Trying to compensate,I make subsequent moves in situations I would prefer one to one... taking risks and desperately playing against time. I calculate the seconds while thinking about the next move,(obviously we need think) while calculate mentally times, but timer may not show normally what I'm calculating after move, neither aproximatelly. Many last matches I playing,if not all, are basically a timer competition.I want to clear that I can and enjoy recognize when someone superated my game and yet admire good players, but on this situation is not possible to consider cause is all about time.

The guy obviously doesn't have a clue of what "5/5" is or what "increment" is. Your answer is technically correct, but is probably utterly baffling for him.
