I need suggestions for openings for white and black that make your elo go up plz. And some top players to study their games.
No opening itself can gain your rating. By far most important thing is not to blunder pieces. Before every move, you should look at opponent pieces one after another and look “this piece gan go there, there, there and there.” Etc. But speaking of openins, intermediate player should study 1.e4 e5 openings. I highly reccomend study games of “romantic era” players: Paul Morphy, Adolf Anderssen, Mikhail Chigorin, Joseph Blackburne. These games are exciting and teach you how to quickly develop pieces and attack. Dońt try to understand games of present super GMs. These games are too hard even for me and i am 2100.
