Ah maybe you are a e4 player I guess, cause they generally attack on king's side (right) and dont exapand much on queen's side. I wanted to know what kind of opponent's moves you miss exactly?
Favouring one side of the board?
im not really sure but maybe try remembering the quote “when you see a good move, look for a better one”
That's an interesting problem to have noticed.
Board Vision is certainly a skill that needs to be developed, so I suppose this is just a case of developing a specific kind of Board Vision?
In general, if you're playing similar openings and reaching similar positions every game, you might be used to looking for tactics in certain places, and thus miss tactics that appear in unusual areas? This is just a thought, but perhaps try playing a different opening or setup? It might get you out of what you're used to and open the board up in a different way which may help you see things differently.
I dunno, just an idea.

Can you believe I didn't even see this check from the queen, for instance, on the left side of the board?!!? I also wonder why sometimes I miss the left side.
I've started doing puzzles recently to try and start gaining some actual insight into my chess skills (since they are really in need of work), and I've found I seem to always miss obvious checks etc on the left side of the board, whereas I'll see them on the right side.
Has anyone here ever had this problem? Even if not, any tips for how to get myself into the habit of double and triple checking to make sure I'm not missing obvious moves solely because I'm favouring specific parts of the board with my attention?
Thanks so much!
