Good things to study?

I'm trying to majorly improve at chess. What are some moves or games or anything I can study to get better?

Simply going through the lessons this website gives you will drastically improve your performance. It starts out pretty much teaching you how to play the game, but eventually it gets to interesting tactics you'll need to know if you want to get good.

Moreover, you have to have at least some life skills. Being able to think ahead, improvise quickly and work well under pressure, as well as not get frustrated when facing roadblocks (because you WILL run into them), are just a few very useful skills required for this game.

Thank you. I started watching videos about openings and exploring what the website has to offer. I started playing chess at a very young age, but never really learned tactics or anything, I just knew how to play. I competed in competitions and stuff in elementary but I just wanted to know how to improve and learn moves. Chess is a important part of my life so thought I'd get better at it!! Thank you!

Do puzzles, play games, review those games, and learn from your mistakes.
