Discovered mate with your king. If the opponent's king in the back rank, and can't get out because of a rook or a queen bring your king in the back rank in the back of the rook or the queen. Then, bring a rook to your king's back. Then, the king comes out and mate. Basically the two rook mate, only you make the mate with your king. I made it.

I checked out someone else’s thing and I saw that you had to checkmate with a KING.

You just need to move your king so it is a discovered checkmate

thanks alot guys!

Thanks

You can also get this achievement by castling checkmate; this counts as a king move even though the rook is the piece doing the checkmating.

It is generally only possible if your opponent blunders very badly. Best to get it before your elo gets too high!

Here's an example of how to do it (my opponent had played ...Qxe7??, taking a knight):

That's a very bizarre thing to say.

I know it is. But from what I've seen, it does only seem to happen if your opponent (pun not intended) royally screws up. Your king usually has to be in grave danger, so your opponent will have to blunder an attack.

A checkmate by castling is also very rare (there's an achievement for that too, even though it also counts for "Killer King") for the same reason.

This is why I believe that, barring unbelievable screw-ups, this achievement is only possible if it's allowed on purpose.

This is absolutely not true. All you need to do is find an opponent who doesn't resign, take all their pieces, get two queens (or rooks), set up the discovered mate and do it.

I'd bet that this is how 99 percent of people get the award, and the crazy unlikely way you described is 1%.

I DID IT!!!!!!!!!

You need to move your king with something like a queen behind of it to checkmate the king this is mostly possible if your opponent screws up and does a blunder
