If it makes you feel better, the rating on here is just a fake rating that doesn’t mean anything. If/When you play a rated USCF game then it actually matters.

I know what your saying and I am telling myself a billion times I don't care about my rating though that doesn't do anything towards the anxiety I have towards chess.

Tomorrows_winner

I feel for you. My advice would be: 1. Study endgames, how to checkmate at the end. The truth is so many opponents give up mid game that one dorsnt have a chance to finish them off properly and practice

Tomorrows_winner

2. Play with a computer for a while as the pressure is less there.

@Tomorrows_winner I honestly think this advice doesn't help no offense, I don't want to focus on the problem of the ability to play chess I made this post to get help with my chess anxiety in which I don't have anxiety normally just in chess

checkmated0001

That was a weird game too, I don't blame you for drawing that. I mean, who plays the Bird's opening?

@chdckmated0001 I guess I was a bit confused when I saw that.

Tomorrows_winner

Sorry. I should have looked at your rating. You are an experienced player.

Tomorrows_winner

I think you need to look deeper into the causes of this anxiety. What are you afraid of happenning and why is it so frightening? When did this anxiety start and what triggered it,? Is it only chess or does it really stem from other areas of your life? Answering these may bring you closer to dealing with this problem.

@Tomorrows_winner maybe although for most things other than school grades I don't have anxiety at all
