Some players use vacation time responsibly for genuine reasons, like health issues or unexpected commitments. However, your point that daily games already allow ample thinking time is valid for most cases.

I respectfully disagree. I've experienced weeks where I had to move houses, faced the tragic loss of family members, dealt with health issues, and encountered situations like military service where I had no access to a phone or the internet for extended periods. In such cases, using vacation time for daily games is justified when applied for the right reasons
Also make a new feature that auto-bans people who play the London and any form of scholars mate for 1 month. Why a month and not permanently? because you can use that month to learn a real opening.
