What do you mean there is no Internet in North Korea? Simply do a Googlesearch. I used the Internet all the time when at high school there. You mean international socialmedia, yes that's ban (same as in China). You posters still live in the past brainwashed by Western propaganda. ❤️ from Vietnam

Why do kids make stupid threads like these ?

Yoomi_kr

As a North Korean living abroad, let me say...Chess.com is legal in North Korea. Access to the Internet is limited, but if we can access the Net from there, we're allowed to play chess.com. Chess.com will have knowledge of Internet Service Providers operating out of DprK.

So, chess.com should close this thread as question has already answered. Let it continue is just trolling.

I heard somewhere else that stuff like marvel movies are banned in North Korea for normal citizens. It this accurate?

It seems a little... odd to disallow movies about superheros but allow a chess website with a discussion function that can potentially talk about anything, including the said movies about superheros.

It is illegal for people that don't have an elite status in North Korea to own a phone, and worse then that, PLAY CHESS. Also, please subscribe to my youtube channel:  https://www.youtube.com/@milessmiles15
