Kramnik Hates Chess.com

@DrHussamNoobBlunders lol

That was when they were disucssing Petrosian gazing down (Danya video was overlayed on top that's obvious). Petrosian was later banned. It started with Wesley So's allegations, then it was this gazing controversy and then chess.com said his moves were too good and banned him. He himself denied everything.

So Levy and Hikaru were speaking about Petrosian.

BUT

But this exposes the huge hypocrisy. Of everyone. Because it was normal to discuss where Petrosian is looking, it was normal for chess.com to investigate him. And no one said that Hikaru or Levy or Wesley So are paranoids.

basketstorm

So it was apparently ok for Wesley So to ask that "where are you looking" question.

basketstorm

So how is this different you, hypocrites?

Chess.com should ban and remove Vladimir Kramnik.

No, it should ban kids instead and enforce ID-verification. There's chesskid.com for anyone under 18

Grey836
Where did you pull this from that is close to what is happening. Yes it’s true that people didn’t ban him for cheating accusations but that was back then. Petrosian was blatantly doing this. I honestly am clueless when he said that where was Danya looking line
Grey836
I’m to lazy to try to research about it

Who said?

Children are the future of chess. Why would you want to ban children?

Yes I am okay with the ban against Vladimir Kramnik. I don't care if he is a former world champion. He is now the virus.

AlekhineEnthusiast46

Yes that is like Twitter banning Donald Trump, a former president, for talking too much about how the election was rigged.

AlekhineEnthusiast46

Or is it "X" now, sorry

Yes Dodger yes indeed. Many chess champs started off in chess clubs going against adults out of curiosity, why stop the initiative?
Grey836
Also how do you properly quote someone as I’m unfamiliar with the forum controls.

Even if they are, how do children benefit from 5h1tposting on these forums, how does that improve their chess skill? For their development if would be better to restrict their access to chess.com. Plus this forum is simply not safe. Yesterday I've seen how explicit content was removed by mods after 4 hours. 4 hours that was publicly available. That was daytime. And during the night they are sleeping or something, so some posts get deleted only after 8 hours. No phone verification, I'm not even talking about ID verification. This is not a safe place for kids. Chess.com made their choice - they've created chesskid.com. Lichess has "kid mode" that a parent can enable for their kid. Here you don't have anything like that. A kid can go to the profile and enable chats back and chat in games. Chats get deleted after a game. For profile pics there is no pre-moderation. This is such a low standard. No wonder this website is banned in most schools.

New data from chess.com about cheating:

Fair Play Stats for October:

610,990 reports created
70,191 Fair Play closures (including 10 titled players: 1 IM, 1 FM, 1 WGM, 2 WFM, 3 CM, 1 WCM, and 1 NM)
32,200+ mute actions
28,400+ accounts muted
143,900+ abuse closures
29,136,213 rating points refunded

Do we see how many reports we have made of accusing people of cheating, versus how many actually doing it? According to my math, only 11.4% of our reports were actually cheating. Really guys? We are just throwing false cheating claims like a bunch of 10 year olds? We can do better. If you think everyone is cheating, your chess will never improve, as you think you did nothing wrong and continue to play the same way, meaning no progress. Not to mention accusing someone of cheating is incredibly rude. I reported a person who was not cheating, and I feel like a jerk about it. I need to do better too.

AlekhineEnthusiast46

Honestly, if I were 17, I would want to play every day with those goofy chesskid.com pieces. Those things are weird. Gives me a migraine just by thinking about it.

Incorrect logic here. You assume that chess.com can determine cheating in 100% of the cases. Often they just can't be sure. And so actual cheater simply gets away.

And online no one is saint, it's normal to suspect cheaters online because it is so easy to cheat. This is not extremely rude. If you live with your opponent in a bunker with no electricity for 1 year just two of you and then you play OTB and you accuse him of cheating - THAT would be extremely rude.
