LICHESS IS NOTHING BUT A COMPLICATED SITE
Lichess account closed
At least Lichess does a good job at monitoring cheats, and the point system is actually fair. I find chess.com to be the offensive site. I will not renew membership here. Its a cash grab, at best.
Lichess is not good at catching cheaters, they are just aggressive. At least 1% of lichess users banned for cheating did not cheat. The figure is likely between 0.0001-0.001% for chess.com...
If I had to choose between letting 10 criminals loose or locking up 1 innocent person, I would choose the former (let 10 criminals loose)...
You can think that chess.com is a money cash grab and an offensive site, but those views are compatible with my views on lichess.

Lichess closed accounts withoutt giving reason. at least chess.com gives reason
Go to the first page to read my long post for more details if interested.
so lichess mods just close accounts because they want to?, The accounts i made on lichess were for specific reasons. I dont see any reason why they would close it.
They don't know what your reasons are. Also, as I stated before, a moderator doesn't need to be there to close your account. If the server matches your device with another account, it can close out both accounts. It's the moderator that can open up one of the accounts or allow two if you give a reason. This is why they always tell people to appeal. You aren't appealing a moderator's action, you asking a moderator to look at what the machine has done and change it.
A simple test would be to resign a bunch of games after move one. You will get a warning notice. That isn't a moderator, that is the server. Then, play out a bunch of games, and you might see the following.
At the bottom it shows a spectator icon and the number 1. In this case, that is me. But if a moderator is alerted to the machine doing something to your account it could be a moderator checking out your play in a subsequent game. I have had this happen and after the game was finished, and I won, my account was closed. I didn't cheat, I didn't sandbag, and I obviously didn't abort.
Another thing they like to do is in the forums, if they disagree with what you say, they will close your account. Then they will reply with something that doesn't pertain to your post. They leave your post there, and this creates the illusion that you closed your account because it doesn't state who closed it. Other users assume you closed it and not the moderator.
If the people who created the site wanted clear transparency they wouldn't have this ambiguity on their site. On chess.com, if you say something a moderator doesn't like they will delete the part of the post and give their initials, like with Martin Stahl for example. It would look like this: WereThoseGoodMoves likes to eat [removed-MS].
It would be something worse than worms, maggots, or poo probably. But you get the idea
They don't hide the truth on here.
A moderator is probably warning, which is what they do in tournament chess areas. This is a 15 minute warning, but I find it interesting that when your account gets closed it's either immediate in the live area or after a moderator is seen online. It used to be bufferunderrun for me. I would log in with a new account, all other moderators actively engaging in conversation for hours wouldn't do anything to my account. But when I saw him online, I would eventually get my account closed (within 5-10 minutes). Try to make an account like "bufferunderwear" or something funny like that. It won't last, and it will eventually get deleted. The only solution I see is to go incognito through a difference device.
And you can see he singled me out. Look at this thread https://lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/why-does-he-have-this-username
My account was closed, but he is defending this person's username?

Wow. Another confirmation that Lichess is trash

I used a different device. I think they use your ip address or something

yeah.. the mods are bad on lichess
They said "Your account was closed because you have broken our rules on at least two other accounts.
You are no longer permitted to create new accounts.
We will only consider giving you another chance if you appeal again after 6 months. This waiting period is mandatory and will not be shortened for any reason.
We have the right to take strong action against users who repeatedly break our rules (lichess.org/terms-of-service) on multiple accounts by for example using engine or external assistance, sending offensive or "spam" messages, registering an unnecessary number of accounts, or trying to evade playbans."
Yea, that is a template response. Most likely NO ONE read your appeal. NO ONE is going to do anything. It was an auto-generated message to make it look like you care to them (or actually confirming they DON'T care about you).
I just fire up a VPN, going on a different browser helps, or create a new account on your operating system. I don't know if modifying the name of the first owner account helps, but on one occasion after I did it I was able to connect and not get genocided. It's a tedious process, so another thing you can do is toggle between accounts. Create a new account on the second and then log in through the original. Not sure how successful it is. If you know Linux, they don't like Chromium for some reason and generally filter that browser out. Or, it could be time based. I am not ready to close out this account yet, but when I do I will try it again and see what works. If you do use Linux (maybe Apple stuff) you could toggle between that or Windows and Linux. They never have a clue when I do that.
Just remember, if you post anything in the forums about getting banned they will ban that new account on sight. Heil Lihitler!!
Here is a current thread which is still alive (for the moment until they close or delete it) where they are discussing resigning and getting warnings that they might be temporarily banned. So, don't take any of this personal. They must have it set up to automatically send these warnings, bans, and template appeal responses. I can't imagine a free site having human moderators actually watching games and deciding to warn or ban people just for resigning a lost position.

So far it is working for me. I played one game and didn't get disconnected with account closure. Next step is to wait 2 days and see how nice they are in the forums.
First of all,why did they even delete your accounts?
Isn't it against terms of service to have multiple accounts without permission on lichess
Depends on what they mean by "multiple". If they are saying two at a time, then yes that might have been the cause for the closure of both accounts. That is why I always delete the first before making a new one. If they are saying you can't have multiple in succession, meaning you make an account, close it, then make a new one, then they should clarify that. If they are saying you did something wrong, and you make a second to find out why, they should then tell you why the first account was closed. If you aren't defiant and you agree to not break the same rule, you should be allowed back on the server after understanding their rule. Simple getting along logic 101.
