looking for a training partner or teacher for my son

Hi, everyone. I am from China. I'm looking for a training partner or teacher for my son (nine-year-old). I’d like you have the time to play 1 or 2 longer games per week against each other to try to improve together. Longer than 30+10 time control is better for my son.

I'm looking to get some more experience in opening system. So the dynamic I am looking for is where we can both list some of the openings that we want more practice in, and the other person then prepares against the opening that you have listed. So if I, for example, want to get some longer games in from the White side of the Catalan, you might prepare against that a little every week, and I will do the same for the openings you want to practice.

Hit me up if you're interested, and of course you can feel free to propose some alternatives if you like some of my ideas but want to change some of the conditions. Of course it helps if your rating is somewhat hinger than mine so the games are competitive.

I'd be happy but I'm only 1600

Hi

I play (learning) English, Catalan and sometimes 1d4 as white.

As black, Sicilian Dragon and Kan against 1e4, and QGD, English Defence (1d4 e6, 2 anything b3) and occasionally Nimzo and Queen's Indian against 1d4.

I have just started on this website, so very low grade, but I am probably around 1500 to 1600 (I am 2200 on Lichess ( Marmite-on-toast) I wish I was that good).

I play correspondence only, 3 days per turn. Would be good to for you and your son, and me as well, to do some book work between moves and learn the openings.

I would be happy to play your son and yourself on those terms. I suggest two games concurrent playing opposite colors, So if you both want training games that would be 4 games.

Let me know if you wanna play.
