well as usual my new found gains vanished over night sat morning play very bad lost all games going down the toilet as usual getting back to 100 very soon couple more games then off to see what lesson i can take here on the site --have done a bunch of puzzles already thought the day was going to be a turnaround day but again as per my stay here it ain't going to happen
losing games to my own bad play
time to stop for afternoon med nap
with 12 losses in a row in a tourney and couple more reg -- my brain is all but depressed down to tp glue ---- will watch another lesson see what it has to say later tonight i will be back -- hummmmmmmmmmmm
this is the saddest account on chess..
Definitely not, he's got the fighting spirit.
i wonder i could be the worse player on this site -- not a great feat mind you -- but reality is what it is and losing as much as i do -- like this morning two wins three losses so far -- so slipping backwards again--there seems to be no way to combat this -- lesson here are more for the theory of chess -- which is good -- but then you need to retain that knowledgw when you are losing all the time

I noticed that you play a lot of blitz. At your level you should be playing more rapid and slow games so you have more time to think. Also, to improve from your level, what's important is to understand the basic of chess. Focus on getting all your pieces out in the opening, and before each move, ask yourself "did my opponent hang something" and "am I hanging something". That's how most games are won up to well into the four digit ratings. Also, if you don't know what scholars mate is I would look that up and try to do it as much as possible. Sure it's not the best opening but it helps you get some wins (good for morale) and shows you a basic and common pattern of how checkmate works. It's what I did when I was new and it helped me win my first few games.
thanks for the input -- always appreciated--- your concepts are very valid -- played tournament lost 21 games -- won three - good thing that doesn't count on your score - course it doesn't really affect me as i am at 100 all the time anyways afternoon med nap then will be back at it when the drugs wear off --
late sunday night meds are not working just yet for some reason -- so playing chess -- well attempting that is -- lost way games than i won --- but thats ok for tonight -- got to 30 moves most games -- except one where i was clearly beaten and just resigned to get things going on the next game -- monday morning always hope for a new day playing
monday morning play just a bad as last night more losses than wins but i did get to 30 move sin most games
monday afternnoon before med nap session played a tourney again lost 20 games in row but made 30 moves in few of them so off for nap
tuesday morning 6 losses in a row so still at 100 most--- i lost my queen to early in games trying to protect king -- need to improve that ---- once queen is gone i am almost always done will try tourney next till med afternoon meds kick in to see ---how the big boys play---will try to get 30 moves in each game
wed morning another winless session four losses in row -- maybe a lesson right now would be a nice break -----
thirsday morning -- played as usual-- many more losses than wins still at 100 -- but most games over 25 moves at least --
friday morning almost all my games went over 30 some even over 40 moves -- so not so bad even won a couple of games -- but to no avail --- lost around 6 so still at 100 --- iam finding tournament play is more accurate as the players are much more truer their scores -- a 1000 player is just that but a 150 player is also a 150 players for me at least a fair person to play against --- regular play is just way out on cloud nine --- none of the last players i played (reg play that is) where even close to their standings most 150 players i play are way beyond that --- most others are even further form their real standing---- i will stick to tourney's when they are available -- wish there was more of those 3/2 or straight play 3 min tourneys -- but i have to do with what there is one more game then off to med nap feeling the drugs taking hold today a little sooner than later see you later
upbeat news for a change ---- not sure how this happened but i have won last four games in row there really is players here that are worse than me --- hard to believe --- off for lunch back this afternnoon having a early med nap had to to take them early today kicking in now
see you later
