I had to stop for a moment because I didn't believe what I was seeing.

It didn't turn out well for them, to say the least, as it led to an easy rook/king fork, and from there it all went downhill. One embarrassingly sloppy game later (the biggest highlight being a horrific rook blunder on move 36; for some ungodly reason I thought it was a good sacrifice that would force a pawn promotion), I finally got the dub...and I think we both came out of that game feeling much worse than before. I really need to get better at endgames 💀
