Just won a rapid game against a guy I had defeated before I was BLACK
I started the course-Cuban Chess: Dominguez On Capablanca
and watched 1 episode
Played some games and realized that I need to improve time management, saw games from My System
Day 6
I also did some Reassess your chess
I played 6 rapid games(too much) as I was on tilt.
No rATING CHANGE
Day 7
I played 4 games and won 2, lost one and drew one
I now stand at 1916. I was supposed to be 1950 today(my aim). However, I will focus on my next target, which is 2000 in 17 more days
Time management is still a huge problem, and itll take time to improve, but I will try my best
I really don't know what to do against some particular openings, such as the Dutch and the Bird, so I'll learn it now

I think that the rating change is not like you would espect, a few rating points at a time: for me it has always been, stuck at a level and then suddenly gaining 100 points very quickly
On Lichess, I mainly play 3-minute games, and many games are won due to time pressure. Even in 10-minute games, the outcome isn't always determined by position. For me, it's important to add an increment to improve. If you want to play blitz or rapid games, why not try 5+3 or 10+5?

Thanks, that has happened to me before
Day 8
Yooo!!!!!!!! I was losing games left and right and was only 1916 after 8 days of playing. However, I now won 3 games out of 4(drew in a winning position against a 2064😭) and I am now at 1945
While you get your rapid rating up, what about your low blitz rating?
I have never really played blitz, as I am a slow thinker, I only played it till I was 1000 rapid
You should set realistic, process oriented goals rather than a result-oriented goal. Contrary to what certain others have said the opening certainly matters at this level, as you seem to be able to tell through use of your basic common sense. It also takes a long time to really master the opening, though. Most chess skills take quite a while to master.

People who are good at blitz are just very practiced and streamlined to where things are automatic, it's a bad suggestion to focus on improving blitz, speed will come in time.
Do u spend half ur time studying? Playing is only part of the journey.
Yes, I spend around half the time with books and puzzles. Also I watch chess vids on YT
Day 4
I saw some games from My System, watched the GOTHAMCHESS RECAP and did 3 puzzles from Woodpecker method
I learned about IQP and played 3 games, 1 loss 2 wins.
I got my puzzle rating to above 3000
