I'd like to join if possible. I've just started on this site with 1200, but I might be playing above that. I haven't played competitively for 17 years.

If it is not completed before the dealine, then that's no problem. The time frame I've given is just a general time. So people will finish sooner, and others will finish later.

how many do we start off playing and do they have to be played unrated
can you pair me with someone new because i havent started my game yet because the kid im supposed to play is on vacation and please get back to me

If your opponent isn't accepting your challenge after three days, then I guess you win by default. This is a problem I've had with a few other players. I'm a little disappointed with the lack of commitment shown by some players by not responding to a tourney challenge. If you signed up for the tournament, then you should really finish it out. Part of the successfulness of this tourney is dependent on the participants.

You start off by playing one game. Then, as more and more rounds take place, players will be ranked into categories by the number of games they win, lose, or tie. You may play unrated games. I changed the rule for this one because some players didn't want their ratings to drop.

Please just be pacient. Alex_M sent me a message about this, but did not say when he would be returning. If ALex_M does not come back until the last people have finished their games, then he'll drop out of the tournament, and I'll play you I guess.
