I did the challenge and managed to play 3 games in the 20 minutes that were proposed, but I was beaten in all 3. Up to a certain point you can play on par with the engine, but it only takes one mistake for the advantages obtained to be increasingly exploited. However, after the engine gains a significant advantage, it seems to get a bit lost, not knowing how to finish the game, it keeps stalling and with time it manages to find the moves to finish it off.

Time per move has been tried back in the XIX° century (and perhaps even earlier) in order to counter players who would abuse "thinking" when in difficult or even losing positions within prized matches.

It got abandonned soon, for the reason this doesn't work out at all with chess, where some moves can be played instantaneously when others require deep thinking.

Chess clocks were finally invented, solving once and for all the issue, by allocating an amount of time to each player, to be spent at will along the moves.

One of the first chess clocks:

Hence, it is absurd to take a survey based on a time per move chess test.

Fix your thingie if you want to be any credible.
