PLEASE READ ...... need ways to improve .........

i like chess and i also know how to play it but i keep losing sometimes some matches that i win are bcause of time and all that stuff ... please help me

Lesson:- 1 look before u leap ! Your playing your moves without taking notice of whats going on and as a result u lose pieces because u dont see that they are attacking them so that would be a good place to start.

Lesson 2:- develop into the center WITH purpose dont just do it for the sake of it.You wouldnt send an army into battle without a plan would u? well this is a battle. A bad plan is alot better then no plan at all, even in the developing stage of the game.

Lesson 3:- find a good book on fundementals of chess because u really need it.

One i liked when i started was "play winning chess" By:- yasser Seirawan. Or "Idiots Guide To Chess" cant remember the writters name even though the name seems to imply what it does, its actualy a good book and worth a read i would go to the library first though because its free that way unless u want it to keep then buy a copy.....
