Poor Sports (a monolog by ME)
I love this great game more than 99% people on this site.
I don't think you should make claims like this. What evidence do you have that your respect or love for chess is somehow greater than someone else behind a screenname?
Not that it proves anything, but I think that you would fall even deeper in love with this game if you gave otb chess a shot. At the least, it would test your love. You would find out whether it is true love, or simply an obsession with role playing or bullying.
Cheater 1,
Almost all of us understand that you are violating nothing more than a code of ethics, but you should not claim that this has no hold on you. Come on, you are not fooling anyone; you are obviously seeking someone's approval here, even if it is only your own. Most of your posts in this thread that I have read seem to be attempting to justify (Robin Hood? Oscars?), or at least explain, your conduct when no explanation was called for.
I believe Cheater should contribute to the 'Wierd' topic site, his views could well make more sense there.
I can see it clearly now.
Give me a break, asking for a "gg" after using a chess program? it's like saying Thanks! to a thief when steals something.
You are just making us know that you're a silly kid that has nothing to do and in the first chess web site that finds, start making noise.
Well he's got a point about the whole rule problem....no where I can find does it say anything about using a program, especially on Pogo.
And for this part

Many of you think that this is pathetic, that he chooses to live in the internet. But it would be the same for any of you. He chooses to reside in the net because that is where he has power. People feel better, safer, more in control, when they have power. So it only makes sense that he chooses no to leave the digital realm. Just an example: If you were to venture to a foreign kindom, and they made you their god, giving you ultimate power, how many would choose to leave? How many would like to leave behind the sense of awesomeness, and the security that came with the position? After all, who wants to go back to being nobody after such an experience?
I can't believe how many responses this troll manages to generate. Parse the language in any of cheater_1's posts for five seconds and you'll realise that he is merely an instigator, and not a very good one at that.
Why don't we all just stop acknowledging him so that he and his childish antics just go away.

I agree , this loser is getting way too much play/attention.
At last, I seem to be a getting a few fans, or at least people that are agreeing with me on some points. It took some time, but heck, I even get free publicity by people quoting my blog. As the great Donald Trump once said, "There is no such thing as bad publicity. Publicity gets your name out there, gets you exposure--and that is good."
I feel that in '08, the people here will start to take me more seriously as I develop my blog more (cheater_1's blog). Human nature is to fear that which you do not understand. And I sure do sense a lot of fear amongst you people. I don't bite. I won't hurt any of you unless I pass judgement that you need a hurting. And by hurting, I mean taking you to school in the game of chess. Oh, I know that I have violated all of your trusts by admitting to cheating, and that none of you would ever trust me to play a legit game (which I wouldn't), so please, don't anyone ask me for a game, because I will cheat you. I'm sorry. That's who I am. You can't train a shark to detest the smell of blood, and so it is with me.
Merry Christmas!
Cheater are you really that dense!? Being proud of watching a program beat a human player is really juvenile and silly. Unless you wrote that program what have you got to take pride in? I play at a decent level and have never cheated ever. I play here in OTB STYLE. I never consult anything but my own brain. Still my level is decent and I am never rude to anybody. And yes I have been cheated at other sites and it was the cheaters that were rude! More to the point is do you actually enjoy shooting fish in a barrel? I would really like to know. I may enjoy the relief in urinating in the early morning after a late night beer drinking binge with my friends but I wouldnt cite it as an accomplishment!
Want to do something to take pride in ? Write a really good program that will identify cheaters such as you. Then offer it free to the people that understand the word honor.-SIX..
Cheater1 why not answer my questions?-SIX
Here, in my online fantasy world, I am a CHESS GOD. I am infinitely better than all of you--and I always will be. I choose to exist here in digital form. Here is where I have my power. I have no power outside this realm and therefore do not exist outside this thing called the internet. I am not flesh and blood. I am a fictional character called "cheater_1".
Here, I am GOD.
Isn't Erik god here, not you?
TALFAN, I politely decline the offer a 3 day per move correspondence game. Such a long game is quite above the capabilities of my Chessmaster-created personality. Chessmaster is used primarily for 1,2,3 minute speed games. For such a taxing game I'd need RYBKA, and unfortunately Santa didn't bring me that program. Be careful though, Talfan, I take your statement that human+program moves are better than just program moves. That is quite the arrogant statement to make. The typical GM analyzes only several moves into the future (that is why there will never be a +3000 GM), while modern chess programs calculate millions of moves per second (that is why RYBKA is rated over 3000 elo.) If you think that you can second guess a program and make a better move, well then, you must be quite proficient. Here's a tidbit....American GM Larry Christianson has a big ego and thought he could beat Chessmaster. The controlers even gave CM a REDUCED setting and he still got brutalized. I watched it live on the internet. Trust me friend, programs have come a long way. Second guess them at your peril.
SIXGUNS I don't really see any questions worth answering.

Really? For such an intelligent guy you appear rather shortsighted with that reply. You explained in detail how you operate to bully the bullies. Then when asked how you get any satisfaction from watching a program others created do that you ignore the question. The question seems to be primary one to ask you. Logic dictates you answer in some form or yield the point that question brings forth.
I care not whether you get personal satisfaction or not. I merely inquired because you indicated that you did!-SIX.
"I have no power outside this realm and therefore do not exist outside this thing called the internet."
Exactly!!! But I would adjust your end comment though, kind of like editors note.
