Rematch or not? a question of fairplay?

An Indian chess world champion Adnan said if you want a rematch (revenge) go for it! Fine but too many people only play one game only (and play someone ealse instead). This prevents having a second chance or even go until a tie breaker game, which is fun.

You've been on the site since 2011, and you're seriously asking this question now?

Many people refuse a second game and play with someone else? isn't it unfair since it prevents a rematch and a vengeance as said Anand, we should go for it!

ChessAddictLoggingOff

this is your second thread about the exact same topic & the answer is still no. stop whining about people not giving you a rematch.

Don't take your loss so seriously. Your opponent may play at work (like I often do) or just to spend 20 minutes waiting in the line. Your desire for revenge is your problem and you'll lose 50% of your games anyway.

Yes. You've already been told, in the other thread.

Is it unfair? Again, no. It's played with two people. Your opponent is free to decide whether to continue playing with you or not. In any case you can play immediately with thousands of other people.

You have the urge for vengeance, others don't. And they are not required to give satisfaction to your urge. You have to deal with it.

chill I’m a person that accepts rematches but id not rematch anyone. other people have the right to decline a rematch so don’t force them to accept it

I usually rematch if someone asks, unless I’m in a rush or a bad mood. But complaining if someone doesn’t rematch, as the other comments say, is ridiculous.

@BenjaminTD6 I fully agree, the problem is with players who keep on playing with someone else, it is so nice to play rematch and maybe a third one to define who played the best. This is the spirit of chess, at least the original spirit...

one game and gone playing with another player, a classic. I wonder if it is the same on Lichess.org or sparkchess;com or others? your inputs please.

I have been on chess.com for 13 years, it is getting worse, more one game and gone for another player whereas the spirit of chess, according to Anand, Indian world champion he favors rematch or revenge as he puts it.
