Some good chess book recommendations?
If you like how to reassess your chess, another book by Silman is "Silman's Complete Endgame Course" which is very good for improvement in all rating levels.
I'm guessing nudity on chess.com based on what y'all are talking about. Its not rare to see something like that on here lol.
I think you should try Kasparov Teaches Chess, as the book has simple things for beginners, (like opening choice, not blundering in the opening, controlling the centre, art of planning), and more advanced topics, too (queen sacs, how to gain space). I have read it and it is very good!
Silman's "Amateurs Mind" is a good positional book for 1000-1600. Capablanca's "Chess Fundamentals" is good as well. The latter should be available online as pdf.
Chernevs book is a good game collection for beginners / lower intermediate players.
Books that I like and that are not too difficult:
- Logical chess - Irving Chernev
- Learn Chess Tactics - John Nunn
- 1001 Chess Exercises for beginners - Franco Masetti
- Silmans complete endgame course - Jeremy Silman
