There was MATE IN 4??? Everyone would've missed it... (OTB Match, Round 3, Argyle Invitational)
Optimissed-- I discounted 25...Ne3 after 26 Qf4 being complicated to calculate for this playing level. Following Chess.com's "CCT method", 25...Qf1+, 26 Bxf1 forced, Ne3+ (via B); 27 Qe4 (delays mate), Bxe4+; 28 any move, Rf1#; h3 for white is not possible as Ne3 controls g2.
Agree this game and post is a great learning moment.
Ethan_Brollier--I agree with your assessment of Chess.com's game analysis tool; accuracy & ELO are gimmicks too. I look at the analysis graph to see where the advantage changed, but not much else.
i solved it almost instantly, but thats because i knew it was an m4. its definately a lot harder to do so in a middle of a game

As far as accuracy goes, I don’t strive for 100%, but I aim to keep my games above the 85% line (essentially no blunders, <4 mistakes), and the estimated ELO I actually find to be quite accurate as well as entertaining. The graph is a nice UI thing, but you can find that by looking through the game in analysis and it’ll more likely also make sense as to how it happened
Missed the very last move with the bishop cuz too far... 1200 struggles
