I've been playing daily mode pretty much exclusively since the beginning on the chess.com app. I don't always have the time or attention span to play a quick game so having 24 hours to respond to another players' moves, gives me time to plan and/or wait for a chance to make my move. I've been told that 1200 is a good score for someone who is decent enough to be above beginners. Is that really for rapid and fast games? Cuz I started out at 1200 and have spent my entire time on the app fluctuating between 950 and 1100, and thinking a decent player should be 1200 is discouraging. My one friend is 1800 and destroys me every time we play, online or in person but all my other friends over the years vary in skill levels but I've never lost to any of them. I lose a lot of games to higher players in daily but my overall win/loss record is about 58% and my percentile is 81.1%. Can someone tell me how I should feel cuz I only feel discouraged and confused?
