what is your chess.com rating compared to your Lichess rating?

I played chess.com 24 hour games. On lichess I play 30-20 live games. My ratings  are very close.

They  both use Glickman ( Glicko)rating system. The longer you play on both platforms with same frequency, I would expect the gap tighten.

I was some 1800 here. But took a 10 year vacation. Restarted on lichess and progressed to levels higher than I think I ever was.

At lichess my bullet is 1300 blitz 1450 and rapid 1550

Correspondence at 2050.

When I came back to chess.com 1200 players moped the floor with me on bullet and blitz and I was dropped to 700 bullet 1000 blitz and 1300 rapid. Correspondence at 1350.

Well the main issue with check.com when playing bullet is higher latency time so I run out of clock fast and many games are dropped.

Also. I'm not that good and a bit old to play blitz even rapid, but still can't figure out why my correspondence rating is much lower than lichess

If chess.com is more laggy than it is more laggy to your opponents as well, not just to you. I doubt lag has an impact on your rating.

interesting seeing the other guys' results.

For me, it's 1400 in Lichess classical and 880 here

They clearly said they are too old to play that fast, so it disproportionately affects them. Their explanation makes sense.

I play almost exclusively rapid and my ratings are around the same both there and here

That's actually crazy since the average 1500 on chess.com is rated around 1850 in Rapid on Lichess.

"That's actually crazy since the average 1500 on chess.com is rated around 1850 in Rapid on Lichess."

"Rapid" on Lichess is anything slower than blitz and less than 30/0; "Rapid" here includes 30/0 and even 60/0. Which is dumb.

heckthebot

3 elo here, about 1250-1300 lichess

I’d estimate my strength on chess.com as 2400 even though I dont have time to get there rn cause I play on lichess a lot more. On lichess my rapid is 2753 and my classical is 2400something

Both sites are LOADED  with cheaters now ( LOADED) . Best option is to try to find a chess site less occupied.  My advise, close your accounts on chess.com and Lichess.

Advice, not advise. Bad in either case.

I advise that you learn to deal with cheaters: scream, yell, cry, … but always report. They do get caught. That’s my advice.

1000 here peak rated is 1835 on lichess classical

I'm Soo bad

I think the inflation at Lichess, at least above 1900, is less than it was. But, maybe I’m just playing worse.

They just have a different rating calculation method. Chesscom uses the older one where new players get a 1200 rating. Lichess uses another method where people start at 1500.

i dont know

Frank_Bahia

1080 Rapid on Chess.com and about 1380 on Lichess Rapid. So roughly a 300 point gap. This has remained steady for me for several months.

paper_llama

When I did a mini-marathon for 2 days, back and forth between sites, I was low 2300 on lichess and mid 2200 on chess.com... maybe only 50 points difference... kind of curious whether one of them was too low or high if playing a long time hurt/helped... but around that rating they seem pretty close. That was sometime this year.

I haven't tried the other ratings recently.

mines here is 815 and i have 1000+ rating in lichess (bullet)
