Which programming language has been used ?
why ask? A hammer for nails and screwdriver for screws. Not all languages are created equal. Some are better than others at solving certain problems or for certain applications. If you are thinking of writing software look at the language that best suits your needs.

you can use some tools like PEid to analyze executable files. It is probably compiled with visual c++ but should check ofc.
It a language more light and open source than the language that chess.com is created. Maybe c++ it was used passing by but this is an ordinary language and they cant allow to be ordinary
Pascal it is been induced as all the universe or god language!! It is a difficult language but you can walk along someday after hard efforts. Dont think at all that someone is tricking you because it is a real try
Every software like Chessbase is written in C++. No chance they used something like Java because when Chessbase was written originally performance was everything and C++ is the only language that can give that. Before C++ likely it was in C. It would also need something like MySQL for database queries.
