Who would win, Magnus Carlsen with Queen and Rook odds vs a Noob with 2 Queens instead of 2 Bishops

Sort:
TheChessInfinity

1. The noob doesn’t know how to do any tactics

2. He knows how to play the opening correctly

3. He doesn’t know that f2 and f7 are weak

4. He doesn’t know how to checkmate with a rook, but he knows how to with a queen

Magnus of course!

Wait, that would mean that the challenger has three queens (since the two bishops are replaced with two queens and there is an existing queen)

.

.

I would think that the challenger would win actually - the most important part is he knows how to checkmate with a queen (eventually, he will find out in the course of the game that f2/f7 .gets weak, even if he does not know it yet)

.

However, if the following applies

.

5. He hangs pieces regularly

.

Magnus would probably win.

Let's say the challenger holds the White pieces. I think that you can simulate this by making ordinary moves for White for a few moves, followed by using a "random move generator" (or something to that effect) for White, while Black's moves are entirely from Stockfish.

Well, as there are 3 queens, Magnus couldn't probably do any opening trick/trap for a quick checkmate (I doubt if there is any trap without having the queen for Magnus). With the most basic common sense, the noob would realize that trading pieces is the most safe way to ensure the win.

So noob will force trading their queen with Magnus's rook. Another queen trade with a Bishop and Knight. Then just create a mindless attack with the rest of their pieces. Game over.

I'm about 500 rating and I think Magnus would beat me if all my Rooks, Bishops and Knights were replaced by Queens lol.

None of these four make any sense.

Do you hang pieces?

Honestly I think I would lose if I had five queens 😂 it is so hard for me to even think 8 steps ahead and the goat is thinking 52 steps ahead! 👑🐐

I think that's mate in 1 if you're white, so true
