Why do Polish chess players seem to play more actively?

Seriously. After all these 10-minute games with Indians and Americans I can say only that.

Polish chess players seem to look for opportunities. They WILL exploit your mistakes. They won't play 1.g3 and offer a draw. They will fight. It actually becomes a game rather than "who can first randomly blunder a piece". They actualy know what "position" means. They actually try to have fun while playing chess.

Anyone else noticed that?

Kinda makes you wonder who would surrender first in a war between France, and Poland?

I dont think you can make sweeping generalisations when it comes to chess based on nationalities.

What do you think the forums are built on?

Practice proves otherwise.

So

 - They WILL exploit your mistakes

but

 - The game isn't decided by blunders

---------

 - They're strong technical players (you say they know what "position" means)

but

 - They're enterprising attacking players (you say they look for opportunities and they will fight)

but also

 - They're casual (you say they try to have fun while playing)

I mean, if your flag weren't Polish, and if your post made any sense, then maybe I could take it seriously.

For a while my opinion of Philippine players was they had a good eye for tactics and initiative, but of course that was just based off of a few guys I played. Could have been coincidence.
