it can be very annoying to have to sit and wait but cheas.com wants you to report those kind of players using the report button.
A random player that chess.com doesnt take action on
Thats well and good and I'm sure other players have reported. Still doesn't resolve. Still an hour plus of total wasted time. I'd have expected action taken after like three games.
If theres a way to message support about it, that'd be cool.
I mean just now, another six minutes wasted. The OTHER player abandoned. How is that fair? Do I just make a comment everytime it happens? Sounds like a good idea. Hold tight for the next one..
I looked into the guy's record further.
He has only abandoned 45 times out of more than 3000 games.
That is not a lot.
What happened in your game sounds bad but it doesn't appear to happen often.
If it happened a lot and people had reported him, he could face sportsmanship restrictions.

That's why you are encouraged to report players like that. You need to click the report button on their profile and submit it.
If he gets reported often , his account will be restricted
What? Are you not looking at the games where he is wasting nine minutes in ten minute games? Don't use a SQL/SAS query on this one, simply look at his losses in the last 100 games. It's no wonder he hasn't been noticed. Again, ten minute game. A move from checkmate, deliberately stalls 7 minutes, makes the final move.
Gotta post it here because they keep doing it, and no one likes to sit 8 minutes afk in a 10 minute game.

Just had the experience of playing with this player who blundered queen, offered draw and then went afk for 5 minutes until the game booted him.
Looking at his match history, He does it for 7-8 minutes at a time and makes a single move in the last 30 seconds.
Total time wasted is well over an hour at just a casual glance.
ChessCom isnt taking action. Support cannot be contacted beyond the AI bot.
Idk maybe I'm hoping an administrator will notice this post? Its pretty unacceptable that this hasnt been detected and removed.
