Right after the above game my opponent immediately messaged me accusing me of cheating and that he was going to go to the forums to get 3-4 people to report me. I wasn’t cheating at all. Tbh I wasn’t even that focused on the game I had a YouTube video up in the background I was watching while playing. So even I was shocked with the 95.4 analysis and it being rated probably the best game I have played.

With all that said just curious how the report system works, could I get in trouble just because he gets enough people to report me? Or should I be fine because I definitely didn’t cheat at all?

Well, some people have their brain filled with air, like just imagine accusing someone cheating when that someone blunder their queen and resign, how ridiculous isn't it. Fyi, that someone get accused of cheating was me.

Accusations aren't enough. The mods take reports seriously and will investigate. What techniques they use are largely unknown. It'll be worked out.

Sobrukai

No need to make a forum post about it. If you did not cheat then you will be fine, if you did cheat then you will be considerably less fine.

According to chess.com they need to have some ground for the report.

Armyxraytech69

According to the site. If account not closed in a few days the player MOST LIKELY DID NOT CHEAT..

So they might have cheated or maybe they didn't.

Only the shadow knows.

I mean like you won't get banned from chess.com but probably you might get a message from chess.com about some player reporting you blah blah blah and stuff like that so you can also call up chess.com

I reviewed the game he moved into a mate in one, what did he expect you to do, if he reported you (and I honestly doubt he would). Chess.com will see the game, and he may be put on a list for bogus repoters.

Games under 20 moves are often >95% accuracy for the winner. This game only had one simple tactic the whole game. I wouldn't worry.
