When using game 'analysis', both post game or during a new game analysis in Learn, the possible move arrows do not appear, even though in the settings I have everything as checked. I tried in Firefox, Chrome and Edge, both on my mobile and laptop browser.
The mobile app itself does show the arrows in 'Analysis', in all modes. It's just not showing when I play via the browser which is pretty annoying since that's where I play most..
Anyone know of a fix? Are the devs aware of this issues?
Check your settings for Analysis. It should show what's turned on.
Thank you for the replies.
@martin - All the arrows are selected in the interface settings but it still does not show.
@justbefair - I've just tried clearing all cookies, browse history, cached data and restarted but still no luck.
Firefox browser is on the latest version too. Edge or chrome does not work either mind.
I've seen a few other reports of this with no solution. Seems to be working for you though so I wonder what I'm doing wrong !!
Edit - Seems the feature I'm looking for is 'Suggestions Arrows' which are available on the app, but not on the browser version.. Which is a shame. I find those arrows to be an amazing tool for learning personally..
Hey @Hajjji same problem for me.
Could you please post here when you figured out how to fix this annoying issue?
So one thing to clarify, the app and website act differently when going through analysis. The website doesn't show multiple moves, just the best move and threats.
Here's one example from the same game:
App does this:
Website does this:
The Feature I am missing is just this simple suggested Arrow (Picture is from the App) and I am pretty sure it was there last week/ always before. I also ticked the Interface Boxes from above.
Sometimes in the Analysis the Website shows me the previous best Move after my Move.
Its seem to me (on PC) that if you "game review" you will get to see the threat arrows and move feedback, this feature is only available once a day for non diamond members.
However on the mobile app, you can go to "self analysis" and that will show the threat arrows and move feedback.
I have the same issue when I select "Natural" in Piece Animation. When I resize the board arrows I have drawn, disappear and appear again. I use the latest Firefox browser. I also noticed that the "Piece Animation" in Firefox is off. It is way too fast. I use "Slow" to get a reasonable experience.
I tested it in Firefox ESR (extended support release) 102.x. In this browser the Piece Animation seems to work normally.
I hope somebody at chess.com will look into this and can contact me.
Same here, still an issue. Some squares seem to have problems with specific other squares, so it partly works. ctrl + scroll wheel to resize and they randomly appear and disappear too. I know this is an issue with the arcade animations somehow and if the grid is inside or outside the board. However, for me personally it is only the animations, arcade and natural cause problems with the grid inside and outside. So maybe try playing with the other animations
Same issue here. In review, I always had the coloured arrow showing the actual move and a Green arrow showing "best move". The green, "best move" arrow disappeared yesterday after I cleared my PC cache. Nothing I do gets it back. It is however still shown on the "analysis" page. so a (crappy) workaround is to flick between Review and analysis for each move that you want to check the alternative "best move". Also, - DOES CHESS>COM ACTUALLY CHECK THESE POSTS???? Many people reporting the same problem must be an easy feedback and help to improving the program for all. - Schaun.

If you're on the new Game Review, there are separate Show Best Move settings for Analysis and Review.
Those can be configured in the settings
