Bug report feature not working

Sort:
wizardrix

When I try to report a bug with the "Support" button at the bottom left, a dialog opens and I can click through until I have the choice between two buttons "Report a Bug" or "Make a Suggestion". When clicking on the first one, the dialog just closes and that's it.

I'm using Firefox 131.0.3 and also tried to turn off my ad blocker.

Am I missing something or is the bug report feature bugged?

It takes a little time for the code to load, so if you don't give it time and click elsewhere, it may not load

It also loads from a different domain, so it's possible your browser is blocking the loading

Did you try another browser to confirm the problem is on their side?

I assume you get at least this far and you're clicking this Report a Bug button.

First of all, thanks for all the quick replies.

I now tried to wait some minutes without clicking anywhere else. Still nothing pops up.

I also looked into the developer tools to see if something got blocked. The only suspicious thing was "Invalid 'X-Frame-Options' header encountered when loading 'https://www.chess.com/': 'ALLOW-FROM intercom-sheets.com' is not a recognized directive. The header will be ignored."

Same thing is happening with Chrome and Edge.

Yes, that is the button I meant. I can briefly see a loading bar at the top of the dialog before the dialog just disappears.

I also found this thread, where they have the exact same problem as I have: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/help-support/bug-report-a-bug-tool-does-not-work?page=1

The loading bar should do that, the support chat will go away, and then the support tool should load. I verified earlier it's still working and can double check on a full browser but have never had an issue with it loading.

Well, it doesn't work for me. So I guess I writer a mail to support.
