I am having the same problem. Cleared everything but continually prevented from playing with same message.
I did look up on google on how to fix it. There was one video saying to do puzzle battle and then try to play a game. For me it didn't work but it might for you.

I am having the same problem, it says you are in a tournament, i did in fact register for one but i cannot find the tournament anywhere
Even I am getting this same issue. I tried to join a tournament, first time I have ever done so, and after that I have not been able to play any games because of that issue. If there are any fixes, then please tell me.

Every time I try to start a new game it tells me I cannot create a challenge because I'm currently playing, even though I have no game running. I have tried logging out and back in, I've tried clearing my browser history, I tried using a different browser, restarting my computer and even on a different device. I get the same notification every time...
