How would I get a password for my chess.com account if I am logged in through Goog?e. I can't find any password option in settings and the password reset informed me I couldn't because I was logged in through Google.

First login into chess.com with Google account, then go Settings -> Password and update with the new password, now click Settings -> Connected Accounts and from the list, select disconnect from the Google account

There is no password option under settings. I'm having the same problem.

You should think about the security of your accounts. I can tell you something. If you can restore your current account.

One thing I've found very useful when managing online accounts is the email leak checker. This helps to ensure that your passwords have not been compromised in a data leak. It's crazy how many leaks are happening these days, isn't it? A simple quick check can save you a headache in the future.

However, I'm wondering what do you think about the security of using Google accounts to log in everywhere? It's convenient, of course, but sometimes I worry about putting all my eggs in one basket, you know? Have any of you had any experience (good or bad) related to this?

I had the same problem and I found a fix. On PC you can go to an incognito tab (so you're logged out) and click on forgot password. Enter your email address that you linked your account to and change your password. If it doesn't work try unlinking Google then try at again (later you can link it back again).
