Cheaters :(

I swear, I fricking hate hackers. They're online chess, of all places. You know, Pausing the clock and giving themselves infinite time, cussing me out in the chat for no reason, and somehow making my rooks just vanish. You know who you are, [removed-- MS].

Please contact support we are aware of the cheating issue

Your opponents can't impact your clocks, give themselves more time, or remove pieces that weren't actually captured.

Around the time you created this topic, there was a site issue that impacted a lot of games, so that is what you were likely seeing

As getting cussed out, you can directly report them to staff but please don't publicly report in the forums.

en pleine partie, mon adversaire qui avait une tour de moins et allait perdre au temps a eut d'un seul coup environ une minute de temps supplémentaire, et alors que c'était à lui de jouer et qu'il me restait pas mal de temps, d'un seul coup ma partie a été déclarée perdue au temps!!

Reports are not immediately handled so it can take time. Also, you may not know of any action taken as the process usually starts with warnings, followed by mutes of escalating amounts, up to account closure. Staff don't contact reporting members about actions taken.

Which game? My last game against Castmasterr. (yesterday 4 november) I don't know exactely what happens, but there was a problem whith the time. He suddenly have more time (in a lost game) and me, as it was at him to play, i 've been declared lost on time.

It's possible it was regular disconnect issue from the live server and when your client reconnected everything updated.

I feel like they've stopped even trying to catch cheaters. The first week I was here, they were responsive and giving me points back... now, a few weeks later nothing. Nothing at all. I get throttled by 700-rated players with a 100% engine match in a G/2 game and they still won't do anything about it. I wrote a forum post just asking a technical question re: why no responses to cheating reports anymore and someone locked the post immediately. Then I wrote support and got no reply. I truly believe they've stopped trying (like Lichess did), and just don't want to make this public. The total lack of response to cheating reports seems to coincide with the app update where the game analysis mechanism was altered, so I'm guessing they're getting tired of paying for so much compute processing and trying to cut these costs? Some explanation would be nice-- feels like I'm wasting my time reporting these people at this point, and wasting my time playing engines when I want to compete with just real people. I wish chess.com would have a separate area only with verified human beings, each account tied to an ID and real names... no more silliness... you cheat or misbehave and you never get back in again.
