can you use images of the chess.com std board and pieces in printed media if you publish somehting like a book?

a permission and copyright notice is oft allowed by some companys and institutes. What about all the content of youtube and face book etc?

The site TOS allows the usage of brand assets for online content:

I don't believe that extends to printed material, especially if being published.

However, for a definitive answer, you should contact Support using the option in the menu to ask.

It appears that with attribution Chess.com is willing to allow brad use digitally, why not in print. Send an email requesting permission. The odds are in your favor that you'll get approval.

I find chess.com most reasonable and easy to work with. I have plenty of time, the books 80% done, the graphics are a tiny part of it. The fact checking is the crazy bit, oooer.
