Custom Theme Background File Size

Hello,

I recently discovered the custom background option in themes.  I have tried to upload several images, and some of them work, and some do not load.  I was thinking there might be a file size limitation, as I've changed all the images to the same pixel size.  Does anyone know what the cutoff is?  Also, is there an option to do something like this in the iphone app, or is there an iphone app that has the beta features of the web interface?

I want to know the exact same thing! I have sent Customer Support a mail asking for the pixel dimensions and max file size specs. They should have that data in a little ? Pop up next to the download button....or even written underneath in fine print. 

Same, just sent a message asking this as well. I wonder if it's the file type as well.

Actually, I believe it was the file type, not the image size. I changed my image from a png to a jpeg and that worked.

From what I've noticed the file size cap seems to be 2MB any more and it won't work.

I think you are right Rindixen. I don't think dimensions or format matter but I think file size does. I've only tested with .png format and the biggest image I could upload was 1.99mb/2,00mb. All I did was swap to a different small size picture that worked as a control and swapped back to the other ones.
On windows properties, the image file size was:
Size: 1.99 MB (2,093,558 bytes)
Size on disk: 2.00 MB (2,097,152 bytes)

For those who are curious at what size I failed at, this is the same picture but was bigger was:
Size: 2.00 MB (2,098,664 bytes)
Size on disk: 2.00 MB (2,101,248 bytes)
