I think a software like "ChessBase Light" would be good for you. If you put that into a search engine you will be able to find it freely available for download.
Also you should check out our downloads section to find what you are looking for: http://www.chess.com/downloads
Hi
I just joined chess.com and well as returned to chess after 20 years or so.
I see that a lot of people record a chess game in a manner that makes it easy to display the game with <- and -> buttons and even insert comments.
Can someone tell we where I can get the software to do this? A bonus question is: Is it possible to do this and *also* display varitations of the game, i.e.,I would like to take a pgn of a game I have played and record both comments about the games as well as variations which either I should have pursued or my opponent should have pursued.
Also, is there any software that annotates a game, ie., I input a pgn game and it finds the two or three move combinations which I missed. Yes, I could do it "by hand" with standard software but there must be an easier way.
Thanks,
